Ghana 29

I've been numbering my various posts. Makes me realize after 370 days or so h ere in Accra that 29 posts is not much.  All work and no play makes Al a dull boy..........

We were out of town a few days back adn I took a few photos along hte way.  Some peopl do not like it when I stat clicking away.  Few weeks back a guy approached me asking what did I think I was doing.  I explained I was taking a photo of his shop. Fortunately the inside was dark so his picture did not come out ! Quite a relief.

So a few street shots:-  It was on an Sunday so most places closed. Love the different colours.

Ghana 28 Awesome Day On The Beach

I posted the other day that I had finally got my driving licence. Fantastic sense of freedom.  I'd forgotten how useful a car can be without an additional driver. Real freedom.

Well set of this morning to go to the beach and have a small Bar B Q. It was with some trepidation that we went as several people had told us the beaches were terrible, dirty and you get constantly harassed by every one.  Well it turned out nothing like that. In fact one of the best days in Accra so far.

We had small lobsters and a superb tomato chili dip. Fresh, then washed and cooked at our door step. Couple of cold beers to wash it down. Fantastic.

Sunday is a great day to travel as half of Ghana are in Church !!

Ghana 27 Red Moon

Huh  !  Red moon scheduled for last night.  Went up on the roof top garden/swimming pool area and waited and waited.  Finally after the clouds decided to get out of the way, well almost we got a vague glimpse of the red moon.

I tool no end of photos and nothing came out.

But I am posting this just to let you know we tried and below is the best result.  You're forgiven if you can't see the moon.  Supposed to be left of Mars.....  I think I see is about half way down to the left of centre ?   Well believe what you want....

Ghana 26 Beach Road

Been so long since I posted and yet again no excuse.

I do seem to spend most of the days working.  I leave home at around 5.30am still dark and return around 5.00pm when the sun is on way down. But that is no excuse, I have all weekends to do some writing and photos etc.  Must get back into my music.

However and there always is a however.  I downloaded Microsoft Movie maker a few days back. Can now play around with it and add something more in the way of interest to add to my blog.

Finally getting round to doing my driving licence.  Taken me a year to get my act together. Not difficult to organize, provided I get on with it. Being lazy does not help. Just needed to do it. First off need to get my UK licence certified by the local UK Embassy. Being done today. Then tomorrow get the Ghana Licence.

Following which Wanna and I can get on the road and do some exploring and take in the sights of Ghana. Then I'll have something to write about.

Lovely few days in Thailand

House and garden looking good.

And there was a small procession and fancy fair in the village.  Was to celebrate the young boys entering Monk Hood.  Lots of floats. I took a few  photos and have added them below. Have not used Movie Maker for ages so apologies for poor editing. Nothing special but good reminders of a lovely relaxing afternoon.
