The Aecom team gave me a big send off and it was with some sadness that I left them all. Especially with Christmas etc on the horizon.

Anyway if any of you read this.  Thanks for everything and I come away with wonderful memories.

• I've been in Accra over 17 months. Never really got to know the food. But today decided just to check on the internet. So now I've made a decision. I've eaten some and now need to try the remaining ones. And of course report back.

Well last Saturday came and went in a blink.

I then sat down yesterday and looked at a the few photos I had take. It turned out we had quite an eventful day.

Started off with coffee and feeding our fish. So some time passed as we talked to them.  Yes they are quite responsive!!!!!!  :-)

As we are situated on the 4th floor we do get to see quite a lot of street activity, but only from a high angle. In a way it has some advantages as no one looks up at us taking photos.

Early morning the stalls are opening up to serve breakfast.  Usually some form of cassava and/or rice or plantains. Me I also like the doughnuts they make from powered banana. (At least that is what I think it is made of....).

More on Ghana food later.

Then off to some shops and one in particular called wild Gekko. Sells tourist stuff and ideal for Christmas presents etc.

On the way we saw a horrific accident.  How do you turn a pickup over at a traffic lights?  Only in Ghana....

Anyway they managed.......

Shop was fun,

and the evening ending up with a few friends for dinner.

All in all a good day.  Hope I have a lot more Saturdays like that to come....
